Life at FountainView is full of interesting and engaging social, recreational, and educational activities – enabling residents to enjoy healthy vibrant lifestyles, filled with fun and companionship. The activities you can choose from at FountainView are endless and range from the informal and spontaneous to organized programs, trips, and events. Whatever your interests, you can find many ways to enjoy them at FountainView.
If you are looking for recreational activities, FountainView offers a number of options on-site. Indoor recreational activities include movie screenings, music programs, card and board game groups, Wii gaming and bingo nights for residents to participate in. FountainView's outdoor recreational activities include walks on our exercise trails, playing shuffleboard, golf practice on our putting green, and much more. There are also recreational trips such as bowling outings for our residents to enjoy.
FountainView's social activities can also keep you busy. Special events include lively parties, family picnics, intergenerational activities, dynamic entertainment, and shows. Examples of social events include the popular "Dining with the Chef" in our private dining room and scheduled discussions of current economic, political, and social issues. Of course, there is a variety of informal socializing as well, from cocktails and conservation in the lounge before dinner to gathering around the fireplace in our library with good friends to picnics on our beautiful grounds in the warmer months.
The educational activities at FountainView are many and varied as well. They include Tai Chi classes, Bible study classes, educational seminars by outside speakers, needlecraft classes, enameling classes, watercolor painting classes, and much more. There are also many clubs for residents to participate in, based around different interests. These include our book club, our knitting and crocheting club, our indoor/outdoor walking club, and FountainView's resident council. Scheduled transportation is also available for shopping, cultural events, and other local destinations.
