FountainView at College Road was the first newly constructed independent retirement community in Rockland County. After opening an information center in Monsey in May of 1997, there were many inquiries by potential residents who were interested in our elegant apartment style living and host of amenities. In fact, interest was so high that the independent apartments were 98% reserved by the time that construction started in November of 1997.

In 1998, FountainView opened its doors to new residents who came from roughly 3 main areas geographically. About one third of the new residents already lived Rockland County. Another third came from New Jersey and the lower Hudson Valley. The final third were "reverse snowbirds" who returned from Florida to live closer to relatives in the area. All three of these groups discovered a warm and vibrant community that has continued to thrive and help residents lead engaged and meaningful lives throughout their later years.
